Pageants are not just competitions. They are platforms that shape public opinion, influence community conversations, and give young women the opportunity to lead through visibility. A queen may not draft legislation or change policy, but she can raise awareness.
Through her advocacy, her presence, and her voice, Miss Suva Rhyelle hopes to shift narratives. While her messages are grounded in culture, her goal is to spotlight youth-centered issues to create conversations and inspire people to care and act.
Working with a photographer with a pioneering record in photography which is both stylish and storytelling is critical to that purpose.
Team Suva is excited to announce that Asvin “Bau” Singh of Fotofusion Fiji is the Official Miss Suva Photographer. Bau’s lens doesn’t just capture faces—it captures meaning.
A Visual Storyteller Who Understands Purpose
Asvin “Bau” Singh is one of the Pacific’s most influential photographers and creative directors. Through Fotofusion Fiji, he has shaped the visual identity of Fiji Fashion Week for more than a decade and carried Pacific aesthetics onto international stages.
His creative journey spans directing photography for World Supermodel Production in South Africa and Macau, serving as official photographer for London Pacific Fashion Week, contributing to and teaching at PNG Fashion Week, and collaborating with designers, artists, and major cultural groups across the region. He has also shared his insights as a speaker at TEDxSuva and The Genda Project.
Bau’s work reflects not only technical excellence but also a profound understanding of imagery as a tool for influence, identity, and cultural storytelling.

What makes Fotofusion’s approach exceptional is its emotional depth. Bau’s style weaves together strength—portraying Pacific women with dignity and presence. Every frame is grounded in Pacific identity, capturing the spirit and character of the region.
This is the kind of artistry that elevates a queen’s role beyond beauty. It aligns with what Team Suva to the Miss Fiji Pageant seeks to uphold: representation, purpose, and inspiration.
